Two years with Hatchbox and I will never go back to Heroku again. No change in my day to day Rails development to production workflow. Amazing customer service to boot. And the best part? Hosting costs went from $400/month down to $49/mo.

For our genome analysis pipelines, we need to be able to quickly setup and deploy servers in data centres across the world. Traditionally this involves fiddling with obscure config files, daemons and database setups. Not anymore: thanks to HatchBox, we can now confidently deploy our apps with a few clicks while still retaining full control.

Did a quick cost analysis for a project on Heroku for a client. Too high! What else can I use? @hatchboxio! Spun up a quick server. Pushed deploy and boom. Things are working! Sidekiq is processing jobs. No fuss. Great work! ✨

I've found Hatchbox to be rock solid and the deployment workflow is unmatched (yes, better than Heroku). Everything is so fast, and easy! Nothing better.

If you want the most bang for your buck, Hatchbox / Hetzner / DigitalOcean is the killer combo. You can throw sooo much at this and it's crazy how inexpensive it is.

I'm going to save 50%-75% compared to my prior Heroku setup. If you've got a Rails app and are looking to move off Heroku, give Hatchbox a serious look before switching to another expensive PaaS.

Since switching from Heroku to Hatchbox I've never looked back. It has lowered the barrier for hosting new apps since I can run multiple on one server at a fixed cost.

The support at Hatchbox is exceptional. They dig in, understand the problem, and see it through to a fix. If you want a deployment platform where someone genuinely has your back, Hatchbox is it.

I've been using Hatchbox since 2019. Easy to operate, support questions usually answered in under and hour. Doesn't get much better than that.
